  1. Home: A place where one lives permanently, especially as a member of a family or household.
    • Example: Ada always felt a sense of comfort and belonging when she returned home from school.
  2. Family: A group consisting of parents and their children living together in a household.
    • Example: The Okoro family gathers every Sunday for a hearty meal and quality time.
  3. House: A building for human habitation, especially one that is lived in by a family or small group of people.
    • Example: Chidi's new house has a large garden and plenty of space for his children to play.
  4. Parent: A person's father or mother.
    • Example: As a parent, Nneka always ensured her children completed their homework on time.
  5. Child: A young human being below the age of puberty or below the legal age of majority.

  6. Sibling: Each of two or more children or offspring having one or both parents in common.

  7. Brother: A boy or man who has one or both of the same parents as you.

  8. Sister: A girl or woman who has one or both of the same parents as you.

  9. Father: A man in relation to his child or children.

  10. Mother: A woman in relation to her child or children.

  11. Uncle: The brother of one's father or mother or the husband of one's aunt.
    • Example: Uncle Emeka brings gifts for the children every time he visits.
  12. Aunt: The sister of one's father or mother or the wife of one's uncle.
    • Example: Aunt Ngozi's stories about her travels always captivate the children.
  13. Cousin: A child of one's uncle or aunt.
    • Example: My cousin Ifeanyi and I grew up like siblings, always getting into adventures.
  14. Grandparent: The parent of one's father or mother.
    • Example: Grandparent visits are always filled with fun and old tales from the village.
  15. Grandmother: The mother of one's father or mother.

  16. Grandfather: The father of one's father or mother.

  20. Kin: One's family and relations.

  21. In-law: A relative by marriage.
    • Example: My in-laws are coming over for dinner, and I need to prepare a special meal.
  22. Spouse: A husband or wife, considered in relation to their partner.
    • Example: Obi and his spouse enjoy travelling together and exploring new places.
  23. Husband: A married man considered in relation to his spouse.

  24. Wife: A married woman considered in relation to her spouse.

  25. Marriage: The legally or formally recognised union of two people as partners in a personal relationship.

  27. Homecoming: An instance of returning home.

  28. Reunion: An instance of two or more people coming together again after a period of separation.

  29. Household: A house and its occupants regarded as a unit.

  30. Domestic: Relating to the running of a home or to family relations.

  35. Neighbour: A person living near or next door to the speaker or person referred to.
