1.    Act - A formal law or decision passed by a legislative body.

2.    Amendment - A formal change or addition to a law or constitution.

o   Example: The amendment to the constitution was proposed to strengthen democratic practices.

3.    Ballot - A method of voting, usually by marking a paper or electronic form.

o   Example: Aminat cast her ballot for the local council elections in Lagos.

4.    Campaign - Organised activities to promote a candidate or policy.

o   Example: The campaign in Enugu included rallies and door-to-door canvassing.

5.    Candidate - A person who runs for a political office.

o   Example: Idris is the candidate for the Labour Party in the upcoming gubernatorial election.

6.    Constitution - The fundamental principles or established precedents by which a state is governed.

o   Example: The Nigerian Constitution outlines the structure of government and the rights of citizens.

7.    Convention - A large meeting of a political party to decide on policies or candidates.

o   Example: The convention in Abuja was attended by delegates from across the country.

8.    Electorate - The group of people eligible to vote in elections.

o   Example: The electorate in Kaduna has been active in the recent elections.

9.    Endorsement - Official support for a candidate or policy.

10. Faction - A subgroup within a larger political group, often with differing views.

19. Manifesto - A public declaration of the party’s policies and aims.
